# Squid Bet Competitions (SBC)

Paying hommage to the TV Series, **The Squid Bet Competition is a win-it-all** **Prediction competition** **where** **players are participating during rounds to ultimately win a final prize pool, and where after each round, losing players are eliminated.**

We added a few twists to make it even more exciting, such as:

* **500 players** during **5 rounds, 1 round per day**
* Each round is a traditional binary prediction based on a real-world event with a **fixed prediction amount. It can be in any category and will change between each rounds, predictions will also become harder after each round.**
* At the end of each round, **the losing side is eliminated** and the **remaining players advance to the next round**
* **As Consolation prize, a commemorative SBC NFT's will be distributed to every losing players after each round (more details in the next section)**
* After the fifth and last round, **if there is only one player remaining, he/she will be declared the Squid Bet Winner and will receive the entire prize pool**. 
* **If there is more than one player remaining, a transparent vote will take place on the blockchain**. Like in the show, **every last remaining player can vote**, either to **equally split the prize pool** between the remaining players **or let the fate decide and pick a random number** among the last participants\*
